Additionally, if self-payment is preferred, a superbill will be provided for submission to your insurance company, with some plans offering reimbursement of up to 100%. According to the Affordable Care Act, breastfeeding support, counseling and equipment is provided at no out of pocket cost for parents. Unfortunately, insurance companies have created loopholes creating barriers for families. If you are unable to access lactation care due to unemployment, citizenship status, and other financial hardships, we are willing to discuss sliding scale fees based on financial need.
