Before your appointment, you will receive an intake form to complete and submit. Please take a moment to fill it out thoughtfully, as it will provide valuable information for your visit.

Feeding and Latch Assessment
During our visit, we will conduct a comprehensive feeding and latch assessment. Please plan to feed your baby while we are together. This will allow us to evaluate both the latch and the effectiveness of the feeding process in real-time.
The assessment will involve a thorough breast exam to check for any physical barriers or concerns affecting feeding. Additionally, we will perform an oral exam of your baby's mouth to ensure there are no anatomical issues that could impact their ability to latch and feed properly.
If you, or your baby’s doctor, have any concerns regarding your baby’s weight or your milk supply, we can perform weighted feeds using a specialized medical pediatric scale. This will help us accurately assess how much milk your baby is receiving during the feeding session.
Our goal is to provide you with the support and information you need to ensure a successful feeding experience for both you and your baby.

A detailed plan of care will be developed, outlining key recommendations tailored to you and your baby's needs. This plan will be summarized and sent to you via email, and with your consent, it will also be shared with your baby's doctor to ensure coordinated care. If you require extra support, you may schedule a follow-up appointment or a few follow-ups. Additionally, you can reach out via email or text. We are here to assist you with any questions or concerns throughout this process. You and your baby’s health and well-being are our top priorities, and we are committed to providing you with the necessary resources and support.

"It’s a scary thing when your baby’s doctor tells you that your baby isn’t gaining enough weight and wants you to start supplementing. I blamed myself. Kate took a lot of that anxiety and fear out of the equation and I was able to get a personalized feeding plan that would best fit my needs. My baby is back on track, gaining excellent weight and we no longer have to supplement. I’m so grateful.
